How does Independent Farmers Bank protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

Affiliates Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies.
Independent Farmers Bank has no affiliates.
Nonaffiliates Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies.
Independent Farmers Bank does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.
Joint Marketing A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
Independent Farmers Bank doesn't jointly market.

Other Important Information

For Alaska, Illinois, Maryland and North Dakota Customers.
We will not share personal information with nonaffiliates either for them to market to you or for joint marketing - without your authorization.
For California Customers.
We will not share personal information with nonaffiliates either for them to market to you or for joint marketing - without your authorization. We will also limit our sharing of personal information about you with our affiliates to comply with all California privacy laws that apply to us.
For Massachusetts, Mississippi and New Jersey Customers.
We will not share personal information from deposit or share relationships with nonaffiliates either for them to market to you or for joint marketing - without your authorization.

Use, Collection and Retention of Customer Information

Independent Farmers Bank utilizes your personal information to administer your business with us. It helps us to properly identify you and your accounts and to assist you with any questions you may have in regard to these accounts. We also use this information to customize products, services and other opportunities we may have just for you.



Maintenance of Accurate Information

It is our policy to keep your financial information as accurate, current and complete as possible in accordance with reasonable commercial standards.


Employee Access and Use of Customer Information

All Independent Farmers Bank employees are obligated to keep customer information confidential. Their obligation still exists even if no longer employed by Independent Farmers Bank.


Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information

Specific information about our customer accounts, including personal data, is not disclosed to unaffiliated third parties for independent use, unless:

  1. The information is provided to help complete a customer initiated transaction;
  2. The customer requests it;
  3. The disclosure is required by/or allowed by law;
  4. The customer has been informed about the possibility of such disclosure for marketing or similar purposes through a prior communication and is given the opportunity to decline (i.e. "opt out").

Review Your Information or Report Suspected Misuse

If you would like to review your customer information on file at Independent Farmers Bank, or report a suspected misuse of your information by way of an online environment (e.g., Internet Banking, the IFB webpage, Facebook, etc...), please call the Independent Farmers Bank at 1-816-449-2182 and ask to speak to a Bank Officer. You may also stop by the Bank and speak to an Officer in person.
